Appliances have a particular heating group that will be only operative when a suitable pan is placed on the cooking surface. The output is up to 85% giving maximum energy savings and extremely rapid cooking. Models are available with 2 or 4 x 5 kW heating elements, or a 5 kW wok housing. There are also multi-point versions with total power of 14 kW or 28 kW.
